Chia Seeds Noob and Happy Workout Session

When I started running on the treadmill this morning, this was my view.

 

 

 

 

 

When I complete my workout about an hour later, this was what happened….

 

 

 

 

 

How is this even possible!?  I was so looking forward to a nice twenty minute walk to the bank…but I guess the weather has other things in mind…

Anyhow, regardless of the weather, my morning workout was…incredible.  Physically, I struggled, but knowing that I was doing something good for my body (especially after a few days off the wagon) I almost broke into tears.  Yes, I am a drama queen…but I blame Pink’s “F***ing Perfect” that was blasting from my iPhone.

Altogether, I did an hour’s worth of exercise – a total of 5.5 miles – shared between the treadmill and the dreaded elliptical.

 

For breakfast (which happened at 11 am!) I tried chia seeds for the very first time, adding them to my regular banana oatmeal mix.

 

 

It may have just been my imagination, but I swear they gave the oatmeal a creamier texture.

Simply delicious.

 

 

We’re on a good start for today.  🙂
