About Me

Hi there!  I’m Patrice and I hail from the wonderful Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago.

One of my favourite places to be...Blanchisseuse, Trinidad

I’m currently studying Media Arts in Canada and began this blog in January of 2011 as a food and exercise log.  Health and fitness are still two of my top priorities, but I’ve come to realize that there is so much more to living than what I eat, how much I weigh or how fast I run.

That being said, I am truly passionate about trying new and healthy eats, as well as working towards my goal of running the ever so daunting 26.2 miles in the near future.

I’ve always been driven to document my life so that I one day can look back on it all and reminisce on the memories of years gone by.  And that’s where this blog comes in…

From day to day I’ll be sharing my love of wholesome food (with a generous helping of dessert on the side), my latest workout challenge and, most of all, the adventures I face as college student out on her own, discovering a world of new possibilities.

As the girl who chooses nights at home watching 30 Rock over partying at nightclubs, I can’t promise to be the fascinating and witty blogger that I’d love to be.  However, if you do manage to stick around long enough, I can guarantee honest and quirky posts reflecting my daily life and, hopefully, a bit of inspiration to brighten up your day.  If that’s what you’re looking for, then welcome aboard!

Thanks for joining me on my journey!

Hey there- came across your blog through twitter…. are you doing P90X or just some of the workouts? I’ve done it all the way through before, but now do a modified version as a way to try to get in shape/ stay on track with my workouts…. I hold myself accountable through my blog as well! Yours looks great! Congrats!

thanks! I’m just doing some of the workouts from P90X and combining that with running on the treadmill to get fit. Kudos to you for making it through the entire P90X program! It’s really challenging.

I checked out your blog too. It looks great as well!
